Sunrise Smoothie

Serves: 2
  • Add 1 peeled and chopped banana.
  • Replace lime zest with two finely chopped kaffir lime leaves.
  • If no blender available, use a food processor.

Try Barker’s Lite Lemon & Barley or Lite Lime for a low calorie alternative (however if using Lite Lime, leave out the zest of lime in the recipe as it won’t be required).

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/3 cup Barker’s Lemon & Barley fruit syrup (or gluten free fruit syrups as suggested)
  • 1/2 cup natural unsweetened yoghurt
  • 2 cups low fat milk
  • 1 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • grated zest of 1 lime
  • 1 cup crushed ice

METHOD

  1. Blend all ingredients together until smooth and drink immediately.
