Herbal Hot TonicPRINT RECIPE
- 1/3 cup Barker's Lemon, Honey & Ginger fruit syrup
- 2 cups water
- 1 small clove garlic, roughly chopped (about 1 tsp)
- 5cm slice fresh turmeric, peeled and finely grated (or ½ tsp ground turmeric)
- 1 Tbsp fresh oregano leaves, roughly chopped
- 5 sprigs fresh thyme
- ½ tsp cracked black pepper
- Combine Lemon, Honey & Ginger fruit syrup with water, garlic, turmeric, fresh herbs and black pepper in a small saucepan.
- Bring to the boil then simmer for five minutes.
- Turn off the heat and allow flavours to infuse for ten minutes.
- Strain and serve with an extra crack of black pepper.
