Jordan Luck back in his old home town of Geraldine

Jordan Luck was back in his old home town of Geraldine on Tuesday night to reunite and practice with his schoolmates in their old school band “Basement”.

They entertained an enthusiastic crowd in the Heritage Crown Hotel with a mix of songs from the early Basement days, a few well known hits from Jordan’s days with the Exponents and even a few covers from the Rolling Stones.

When they played “Why does love do it to me” the said lady from the Geraldine Valleys was up dancing with the rest of them in the centre of this photo!

Steve Jones, a local painter (guitar) who organised the reunion, his brother Michael the local butcher (drummer) and Gary Bruce were back under the spotlight as they hammered out the old songs with surprising verve and fluency.

They have another practice night on Wednesday then play gigs in Timaru, Temuka and back in Geraldine on Saturday.

Jordan is helping out with a Geraldine Video while he is back in town, and will be visiting the Barker’s shop for a piece of filming on Friday!

Who says it doesn’t all happen in Geraldine!
