Over 750 blackcurrants are squeezed into each bottle – a natural source of antioxidants including vitamin C in every glass.
At Barker’s we use a blend of the Magnus and Ben Rua blackcurrant varieties. It is helpful to note that the antioxidant qualities are superior in any blackcurrant varietal and Barker’s blackcurrant syrups only contain New Zealand squeezed blackcurrants which are recognised globally as superior fruit.
This new look label syrup contains 7% less sugar than our previous recipe. Customer feedback has told us that it was too sweet so we’ve listened and we think it tastes better than ever. The sugar hasn’t been substituted with anything, it’s just been reduced.
