Chutneys and Jellies
Crafted from quality ingredients, including local produce wherever possible, Barker’s chutneys and pickles are packed with natural flavour and goodness. Wherever possible, our goal is to keep our products free of preservatives, colouring and flavouring. Many of our products are also suitable for gluten free consumers.

Fruit Syrups
Our blackcurrant syrups are not made from reconstituted blackcurrant concentrate. We squeeze and bottle the juice from local blackcurrants, right here in Canterbury. We squeeze more berries into every bottle – without added preservatives or added colours.

Jams, Curds and Marmalade
This preserve is a step toward the future for jam; fresher, fruitier and tastier than our old recipe. 18 months ago we tweaked our recipe to increase the amount of fruit and offset this by reducing added sugar. We have moved from a traditional 65% sugar jam with 40% fruit to a 54% sugar fruit preserve with 48% fruit. That’s 20% more fruit and 17% less sugar!


No Refined Sugar
Barker’s fruit preserves are jam packed with fruit - infact, 98% fruit with no refined sugar added. Sweetened only with pear juice concentrate, the Barker’s No Refined Sugar range is a healthy option for anyone considering their sugar intake.

Savoury Sauces
Whether it’s apple with roast pork or mint with lamb, we’re sure these will be family favourites. We are strong supporters of local growers and New Zealand fruit is our first choice were practically possible. Barker’s sauces are so versatile – they can be used as a dip, stir-fry or marinade.

Specialty
This selection is for delicious seasonal product that will change from time to time. Right now we are drooling at the thought of the festive season and the delicious baking ahead!
