With a reputation for innovation and quality spanning 40 plus years, Barker Fruit Processors Ltd is a leading privately owned New Zealand family business, whose brands include Barker's fruit syrups, preserves, chutneys and condiments; Anathoth jams and pickles; Tandori Palace Indian Sauces; fruit preparations for dairy and Australia's leading range of fruit fillings for bakeries.Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the main purpose of this role is to provide Maintenance Planning and Scheduling support to the site, ensuring preventative maintenance, spares availability, safety and quality levels are always at a consistently high level.Be part of a small team embarking on a journey towards maintenance best practice, and develop your skills and experience in support of our lean manufacturing.Key Skills you will bring to this role:
- Mechanical or Electrical trade or engineering background
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Able to work under pressure and unsupervised
- Have worked with a computerized maintenance management system
- Understanding of maintenance best practice systems
- Excellent understanding of food safety and health and safety requirements
- Highly motivated and energetic
- A hunger for continuous improvement
